"Hello all You might have already been contacted by some people for the following events, but I thought I'd package it all together for you, as these three amazing zine fairs are all happening in September! So get your photocopiers, glue and staplers ready, September is going to be the Month of the Zine Fair. **** PENRITH REGIONAL GALLERY'S INAUGURAL SPRING ZINE FAIR Saturday 1st of September, 10am to 5pm. We would like to invite you to participate in Penrith Regional Gallery's(PRG) inaugural Spring Zine fair, to be held in the gallery grounds. The Fair has been scheduled to coincide with 'Zine Factory', a PRG exhibition/workshop project featuring Leigh Rigozzi and Miss Helen*(THAT'S ME!). The Fair will feature croquet, food stalls and live music, as well as talks by Sue Pedley and zine expert Glenn Barkley (Art curator for the University of Wollongong). The day can even roll on into the night with a FREE indigenous screening at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith. We are also inviting zine fair participants to exhibit a few zines in the exhibition. Drawing together all manner of zinesters, comics nerds, general artists and small / independent publishers, it takes place as part of the ever sprawling This Is Not Art Festival, alongside a huge array of zine and independent publishing related workshops, panels, forums and general good times. This year attendance is confirmed from virtually everyone who could approximately be referred to as a 'zine or small press luminary'. But it's not too late to get your zine on the table!
