Stage: A liquor store with a wine tasting.

“Try some tequila?”

“How can I resist?” Clever, huh?

“It has an ‘oaky’ taste. Do you like it? “

“Yeah. Is that an agave on the label –is that what they make it from? “

“It’s pronounced agave.”

“Oh. I have a Pre-Columbian ceramic of a man carrying one on his back. Aren’t they heavy?”

“Weigh about as much I do –you could handle one. Twenty dollars: usually twenty five.”

“Thanks.”

“No. Thank you” She passed me the bottle.

“You know it’s tough working out of town like this. I wish I could call it a day, but I don’t finish until eight o’clock.

Eight o’clock, Sharp!”
